As the U.S. Federal Government and Public Sector increasingly adopt cloud services for the flexibility and efficiency that they can bring to their agencies, a challenge has emerged: these services must align to government standards for security and risk management, while delivering the performance and user experience expected by their government customers. Therefore, they look for Unified Communications (UC) technology solutions that provide secure communications while also ensuring their core mission and strategic goals are met.

Cisco has deployed IR Prognosis to manage its Hosted Collaboration Solution for Government(HCS-G), a FedRAMP-Authorized UCaaS offering. HCS-G allows government employees to extend rich collaboration experiences from their desk environment to their remote and mobile work environments, with voice and video calling, messaging, presence, and conferencing all included.

As a continuation of its long-standing partnership with IR, Cisco selected Prognosis for UC as a critical component of the HCS-G service delivery and operations platform. Prognosis for UC Service Provider Edition enables cloud and managed service providers to reduce service delivery costs, improve operational efficiency and deliver an outstanding quality of experience that allows government employees to focus on their core missions.
