Sydney, 22 October 2020 – IR (ASX:IRI), the leading global provider of experience management solutions for critical IT infrastructure, payments and communications ecosystems, today announces expanded UC vendor support to include Microsoft Teams, as part of the IR Collaborate suite of solutions for enterprise communications and collaboration environments.
This new solution enables cloud insight to help customers better manage their migration to Teams, access key success metrics, such as user adoption, device utilization, and service health, and proactively monitor, troubleshoot and be alerted to issues across their entire UC ecosystem.
“Accelerated adoption of cloud collaboration platforms has significantly increased UC complexity,” said Kevin Ryder IR’s Chief Marketing and Product Officer. “These platforms have been critical in keeping remote workforces connected. But it’s forced many organizations to adopt a hybrid UC model, which brings a new set of challenges. Support for Microsoft Teams within IR Collaborate is an exciting development as it provides management visibility across these complex hybrid UC environments, and unlike other solutions, it’s available for deployment on-premises or as a cloud service.”
According to Wainhouse Research, more than three quarters of IT leaders would choose to implement a range of “best of breed” solutions from a variety of vendors to meet their UC requirements, rather than unify everything to a single vendor*.
“Complex, hybrid-cloud communications environments are increasingly the norm for enterprise organizations, and they can be difficult to manage. Third-party performance monitoring tools simplify the equation by providing visibility across critical services, apps, and networks. This makes it much easier to quickly resolve issues before they have widespread impact to productivity and user experience”, said Bill Haskins, Senior Analyst and Partner at Wainhouse.
Support for Teams strengthens the Collaborate solution suite with the ability to effectively manage multi-vendor UC environments from a single view, and uniquely positions IR to simplify complexity for customers to ensure they can deliver high quality services to all users.
With the flexibility to deploy IR’s Teams solution on-premises or as a cloud service, enterprises and service providers can incorporate critical management capabilities within their preferred standard operating environment.
Ryder added, “These tools will continue to be essential to everyday operations. The ability to streamline IT operations, access real-time performance data, and ensure these tools are optimized for peak performance will be critical for business continuity and growth.”
